Characters You Can Expect To See On “Supergirl” This Season

CBS’ hit series Supergirl is halfway though its freshman season.  As fun and exciting as this show has been so far, it looks like it is only going to get better.  With news this week of an internetwork crossover planned with The CW’s The Flash, PopCultHQ wants to look at what and whom we can expect in the last handful of episodes.

Barry Allen/The Flash

The Flash will appear in an upcoming episode of Supergirl, combining the two superheroes into one action-packed hour. Actor Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash in the CW’s The Flash, will make his way into National City on the special Supergirl episode slated for Monday, March 28 at 8/7c on CBS.

Young Kal-El

Daniel DiMaggio plays young Kal-El, Kara’s cousin, in the Feb. 8 episode, “For The Girl Who Has Everything.” In the episode, Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed.

Laura Vandervoort, best known for her work as Supergirl in Smallville, will breathe new life into Indigo, the “super-computer” who uses her advanced programming to terrorize those who have wronged her. But, Indigo isn’t just a number-crunching machine. This villain also has the ability to blast force fields and lethal shots of energy from her hands and eyes, and her analytical mind allows her to control human-made technology.

Master Jailer

Played by Jeff Branson, Master Jailer was Fort Rozz’s most brutal guard. Seeing the escaped inmates unleash their wrath on National City only stirs up his inner-vigilante, and he goes on a merciless hunt to round up the prisoners and restore justice to the universe.

The Silver Banshee

Italia Ricci will star as Siobhan Smythe, better known as the wicked Silver Banshee. At first, Smythe will work at CatCo, threatening Kara’s role as Cat’s go-to gal. But, over time, Smythe becomes an even greater adversary as she transforms into a hypersonic screecher who terrorizes National City.

Actor Chris Browning transforms into the supercharged malefactor, Ben Krull, aka Reactron. In the DC Universe, Krull is best known for his long-standing rivalry with Superman in Metropolis and for wearing an armored suit which is powered with nuclear energy. After being defeated by the Man of Steel, the humiliated Krull has decided to go after his nemesis with something even stronger than Kryptonite: his family.

Winn might need a little maintenance of his own after being reunited with his estranged father, Winslow Schott (Henry Czerny). After years of being disconnected from Winn, the older Schott, aka Toyman, heads to National City to see his son—but that’s not all this criminal genius had planned.

Adam Foster

Blake Jenner joins the cast of Supergirl as Adam Foster, a charming young man who appears in National City and catches Kara’s eye. But what starts as an innocent flirtation eventually proves troublesome for Kara’s relationship with her boss, Cat Grant, who is Adam’s mother.

Supergirl airs Mondays 8/7c on CBS.
