Chicago TARDIS started in 2000 and is labeled as “the Midwest’s largest ‘Doctor Who‘ only convention.” This is a weekend event full of everything Doctor Who. It covers all things related to The Doctor, his many forms, and his companions.
This year’s special guests included the fifth, six and seventh Doctors – Peter Davison (5th Doctor), Colin Baker (6th Doctor), and Sylvester McCoy (7th Doctor). There were also several fan favorite companions including Janet Fielding (Tegan), Sophie Aldred (Ace), Nicola Bryant (Peri), and several other guests that are involved in the Doctor Who universe.
This is a fantastic, family-friendly event with tonnes of things constantly going on.. and when you needed a little down-time there was the viewing room, which was constantly playing some of our favorite Doctor Who episodes.
Big Finish Podcast was on site to do a podcast’ if you are a Doctor Who fan and aren’t familiar with them, then you don’t know what you are missing. Check them out for the latest and greatest Doctor Who audio productions.
And just to make the whole Doctor Who theme, complete we went to the Blue Box Cafe for lunch and the food is just as good as when we first went there a year ago. I highly recommend the Masters Wrap, and my son loved the Melted Goodness.
