New Captain America: Civil War Trailer Reveals More Of Crossbones

Captain America: Civil War is less than a month from its release and the previews, trailers, and images are steadily flowing to the public. The latest trailer for the film, which debuted at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, actually includes a couple of shots of the character Crossbones, portrayed by Frank Grillo (Prison Break). Don’t forget, while most trailers and TV spots focuses on the “Civil War” which divides the Avengers, Crossbones is the antagonist in the film. The marksman trained in warfare and martial arts debuted in Captain America comic books (issue 359 cameo, issue 360 full app.) and has serious history with him, many of the MCU Avengers, and was even aligned with HYDRA at one point. We got our first look at Grillo’s character in Captain America: Winter Soldier. As little as we have seen Brock Rumlow (Crossbones true identity) in the trailers for this film, he should have a fairly good amount of screen time.

Be sure to watch for Crossbones at the 1-minute mark.

Captain America: Civil War Storyline –

After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Captain America: Civil War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl. The film arrives in theaters on May 6, 2016.
