The Evolutionary Tale of the Perfect Geek Love: Sheldon and Amy from The Big Bang Theory

During last nights episode of The Big Bang Theory we were treated to the reunion of geekdoms most beloved love story, that of “Shamy.”  The ultimate nerd love of a brilliant Theoretical Physicist and a Brain Neurologist that has melted hearts all over the galaxy near and far.

Amy Farrah Fowler and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsonsfirst met when Raj Koothrappali and Howard Wolowitz decided to play the tests of social network matchmaking by trying to find the perfect match for Sheldon. Using an online dating service the two goofballs ultimately did find the improbable, a match for Sheldon, in the form of a similarly socially awkward and fellow quirk, Amy Farrah Fowler. Amy played by Mayim Bialik who was a child star in her own right with her famous 90’s sitcom Blossom, played a character that was similar to her very own life, that of a an actual brain neurologist.

Over the course of 118 episodes the two odd-fellows have made the uniquely imperfect loving pair. Even with Sheldon’s lack of emotional connection and frequent lack of empathy to his girlfriend, “Shamy” has somehow lasted through their many tests and most of all Amy’s patience in her “labito”

After the briefly unsettling breakup between the two characters in this last half season, the two finally reunited in their usually quirky but loving ways. Watch the special moment and The Big Bang Theory “Shamy” evolution of love video released this morning and let your heart melt away as you relive the greatest moments of the Sheldon and Amy romance, we should all be so lucky to enjoy such a love.
